Kids’ Haircut at Home: What Parents Should Know

For many children, a salon means a new place, strangers, the noise of hair dryers and a wait that seems to last forever. By the time they sit in the chair, they’re already tired or restless. At home, everything is familiar: their room, their toys, their parents close by.

Why a haircut at home is easier for little ones

The difference shows right away. A relaxed child sits more calmly, the haircut turns out better and takes less time. For parents, it means no more getting the kids dressed, driving through traffic and keeping them quiet in a waiting room.

How to get your child ready

A few simple things make a big difference:

• Pick a good moment. A rested child who isn’t hungry is much easier to work with. Avoid nap time or right before a meal.
• Tell them what’s coming. “Cristi is coming to cut your hair, just like Dad’s” sounds far friendlier than a surprise.
• Have a distraction ready. A story, a favourite toy or a cartoon on the phone work wonders.
• Let them watch first. If a parent gets a haircut in the same visit, the child sees how it goes and is much calmer when it’s their turn.

How the appointment works

Kids’ haircuts are booked only together with a service for an adult, in the same visit: a parent’s haircut, a colour or any other service. A parent or accompanying adult stays with the child the whole time.

I work patiently and we take breaks when needed. I never push a child who isn’t ready: sometimes a minute’s pause and a joke do more than anything else.

All you need is a chair and a well-lit room. I bring the rest: scissors, clippers and a cape.

How much a kids’ haircut costs

• Boys’ haircut (up to 14): 53 lei, short or long, adapted to age and preferences.
• Girls’ haircut, short or medium hair (up to the shoulders): 62 lei.
• Girls’ haircut, long hair (past the shoulders): 125 lei, because it takes more time and care with length and texture.

Travel is included in the price within the coverage area.

Family Deal: a discount for the whole family

If you book several family members on the same day, at the same address, the Family Deal applies: 5% off for 2 people, 10% for 3 and 15% for 4. The discount applies to any service, not just haircuts. For example, the kids and Dad get haircuts while Mum gets her roots coloured, all in one visit, with a discount on the total.
