Brides in 2026 are leaving behind rigid updos and hairspray that holds hair like a helmet. The trend of the year is hair worn down, with airy volume, mirror shine and natural shapes that look just as good in photos as on the dance floor. The style even has a name: quiet luxury. Elegant, clean, without looking like you spent three hours in the chair.
I'm Cristi and I style brides at home in Bucharest. I don't do updos or very elaborate hairstyles. I work on exactly the styles that are trending now: hair worn down, blow-dried, curled or straightened, on your natural hair.
The 5 bridal hair trends of 2026
1. Voluminous bridal blowout
Hair dried with a round brush, with volume at the roots and ends gently turned under. It looks glamorous but relaxed. It appears in almost every 2026 trend list, from The Knot to Bio Ionic. Best on medium and long hair.
2. Modern Hollywood waves
Even waves, brushed out smoothly, with a high shine. The refined take on the 1940s, perfect for elegant, mermaid or off-the-shoulder dresses. Works on medium and long hair, cut blunt or in long layers.
3. Glossy loose waves
Wide, airy waves with natural texture that look effortless. The favourite for civil ceremonies and outdoor weddings. Works on fine or normal hair, medium or long.
4. Sleek, glass-smooth hair
Perfectly straight hair with a middle or side part, anti-frizz serum and a glossy finish. The minimalist choice for simple, modern dresses. Works on long hair or a long bob.
5. Glossy bob, sleek or softly waved
Brides with short hair no longer try to make it look longer for the wedding. A glossy bob, perfectly sleek or with soft waves, looks fresh and feminine.
Which style suits your hair length
- Long hair: voluminous blowout, loose waves or sleek glass hair.
- Medium hair: Hollywood waves or a blowout. The most searched options, because they add shape without weighing hair down.
- Short hair or bob: a glossy bob, sleek or softly waved, or a blowout with root volume.
How long does a style without an updo last?
With well-prepared hair and flexible-hold products, curls and waves usually last all day. I always use heat protection and finish with a spray that holds without stiffness, so your hair stays soft to the touch.
How long it takes and what it costs
- Hair trial: 125 lei, paid on the day of the trial. We meet before the wedding and agree on the exact shape and volume.
- Styling on the wedding day: 100 lei if you had the trial, 125 lei without a trial.
- Time: 40–60 minutes, because there are no updos or complicated constructions.
- Travel within my coverage area is included.
The bride and her girls, on the same morning
For weekend weddings I come between 9:00 and 16:00, for a group of 4 people: you and three others, for example your mother, your matron of honour or your bridesmaids. You all get ready at home, with no trip to the salon. For four stylings the Glam Deal applies: 440 lei, or 110 lei per person. The trial can be combined with the offer: you pay for the trial (125 lei), and on the wedding day your share of the Glam Deal, 110 lei.
